I finally got my Black Friday purchase a beautiful 46″ Aquos TV. Better yet, I discovered even on basic cable I get some HD channels – including some random ones that had the 300 in HD. Thanks to AP and Keith for helping transport and set up the new TV. I may never leave my apartment now.
AP: Dublin Beer Bandit Raids Guinness. What seems amazing to me is why this guy would steal as many kegs of Budweiser as he would Guinness – it seems one is much more valuable. Though I guess Guinness is the domestic beer there and Budweiser is an import, but I can’t really see the Irish getting excited about Buds.
CollegeHumor: 2007-2008 Power Rankings. Well its been months since Penn State football had a top 10 ranking, but at least Penn State is number 1 in CollegeHumor’s poll. It looks like the number of submissions to the site from PSU helped overcome its downsides, like an average February temperature of 36 degrees.

A public service from your favorite land grant institution 🙂 I guess it’s an interesting area of research and there’s probably no time better time than now to remind people, but still its pretty hilarious that they would post something like this.
City gas bash explodes into mass brawl. A “morale boosting” function turned into a fight when employees brought up layoffs (redundancies in the UK) earlier that year. Sounds like something ripped straight from The Office.
Scobleizer: The brand promise of Apple. “Any idiot can use an Apple machine (that’s what they tell you before you buy one) but if your machine crashes then you must be a “genius” to fix it.”

Collegian: Company aids student entrepreneurs. Consultant, entrepreneur, and college roommate extraordinaire Rob Shedd is interviewed about his Lion Launch Pad. Besides my obvious bias of being a friend of Rob’s, I think its a neat project because its offering student entrepreneurs an environment that seems similar to the type of environment the Collegian offers student journalists.
